We are overcome
By the beauty of our children
The way they sit and walk
And stand and talk
As if the world were theirs around them

We are overcome
By the love that we give them
How it pours from our hearts
Never stops, only starts
And we ask to be forgiven

For not delivering the world
To the palms of these sweet children.
